Starting July 1, 2025, the NYC Department of Buildings will require construction workers to carry the new Worker Wallet Card as the sole accepted form of qualification for the following certifications:

  • Mast Climber User/Operator and Refresher
  • Climber/Tower Crane Rigger
  • Rigging Supervisor
  • Rigging Worker
  • Supported Scaffold User
  • Supported Scaffold Installer & Remover
  • Suspended Scaffold User
  • Suspended Scaffold Supervisor
  • Periodic Gas Piping Specialist

To perform these tasks or operate related equipment, workers must show their Worker Wallet card as proof of training. This card securely combines all approved credentials into one and is verifiable through the Training Connect App.

Please note: SST cards are still required and must be presented alongside the Worker Wallet card.
